Brother of Spawnicus

Righty-ho... so I suck at this blogging malarkey then... I know this because I started a blog and posted just once which is a bit pointless, there maybe worse blogs out there somewhere in bloggerland but I doubt it somehow.

Anyway, I figure that it's gotta be time for another blog, I have2 followers and they deserve and update!!

So, the question really is what to blog about, what has been going on in the world of Spawnicus lately?  Well lets fill in some background info shall we?  I have 4 great loves in life which are my fiancĂ©e, Manchester United, video games, and pizza (in no particular order but I figured I should put the missus as the first on the list regardless).  Anyway, don't be surprised if those 4 topics spring up every now and then, for now though I think I'm going to focus on my brother.

We've had an up and down relationship over the years, but these days he's my best mate (and will be best man at my wedding too).  We have a great laugh when we get together, and this past Saturday was no different.  Since his other half was out of town, and my other half was going to her mate's birthday which I didn't much fancy going to I went to spend some time with my dear old Bro (who actually is 2 years younger than me).

He's spent half his summer in the gym getting in shape (not so lazy student) and also playing squash, and he decided that he wanted me to go and play squash with him.  I've spent my summer sitting on my arse and eating junk food, I'm also waiting for an appointment to see a specialist about a long term knee problem I have, so I got my excuses in early and thoroughly expected to take a beating on the squash court.

The first game ended 11-1, not exactly what I expected since it was me who got the 11... but he probably just needs to get into his stride.  Then at 4-4 in the second game I twist my ankle... so now I've got a dodgy left knee and a twisted right ankle... my chances are getting worse.

So the second game finished 11-4... but hang on a minute, I won that one too... what's going on?!  Don't get me wrong, by this point I was exhausted and my bro was still looking quite fresh.  I'd taken 2 games but surely his fitness would stand him in good stead for the remainder of the match?

The third game goes to 6-6, then I manage to pull 3 points out of the bag before he adds another to make it 9-7... that was his last point in that game though so it went to 3-0... I won the last 2 games as well to make it 5-0.  I didn't recover until Tuesday, but it was worth it, and fair play to him he took his defeat in good grace too.

After that it was time for some video games, and then a large pizza from Dominos with bbq sauce, smokey sausage, and pepperoni... which was polished off for breakfast the next morning.  All in all a top weekend, thanks Bro.

Right, I think this entry is long enough now.  So peace out peoples, and hopefully you'll have something else to read from me soon.
